Amen Refillable by Thierry Mugler
Born in Strasbourg, France in 1948, Thierry Mugler was known to spend a lot of his growing years as a ballet dancer. Although he started out as a ballet enthusiast, he also began studying design, and he starting crafting garments for friends and family, before moving to Paris, where he initially worked as a window dresser. He then launched his first clothing line in 1973, and two years later he established his women’s clothing line as well. These days, his company is also very famous for its line of perfumes and fragrances. One of the company’s popular brands is the Amen perfume brand.
How Thierry Mugler Ventured Into Perfumes
Thierry Mugler’s fashion house became popular in the mid and late 70’s. While his clothing company failed to considerably cash in on the entry of the new breed of fashion trends on the 90’s, he still managed to tie-up with a number of industry heavyweights, and still remain a popular brand.
In 1997, Thierry partnered with French cosmetic and skin care powerhouse Clarins, where they created the Angel and A-men fragrances. These two fragrances became very popular, and his Angel brand was noted to even outsell Chanel No. 5 in France. And although his couture department got closed in 2003, he still managed to temporarily reopen for the Winter 2008 Collection.
Amen Refillable – What It’s About
Amen Refillable is among the most popular perfume brands of the Thierry Mugler perfume division. Also called Angel Men in North America, because of trademark disputes and concerns, the Thierry Mugler Amen Refillable is a 30 ml eau de toilette spray, which features a hearty but sometimes shocking mix of different herb and spices.
It offers notes of bergamot, peppermint, roasted coffee, lavender, caramel, vanilla, tonka bean, musk, patchouli, which effectively manages to release a healthy mix of fiery and woody aromas.
Amen Refillable - Woody Scent Reveals A Powerful Blast of Coffee And Musk
Thierry Mugler’s Amen Refillable is famed for releasing a spicy and flavorful mix of different ingredients, which you won’t be able to notice in other perfume brands. The perfume reveals woody essences of cedar and patchouli, as well as a cool and elegant air of lavender and peppermint.
Apart from releasing cool and woody scents, Amen Refillable manages to reveal a blast of coffee and musk as well as tonka bean, which manages to stir the senses, although it won’t smell too overpowering. The perfume’s top notes reveal scents of coriander, bergamot and peppermint, while the middle notes release an air of patchouli and Atlas cedar. The perfume’s base notes combines a mixture of coffee, tonka bean, musk and more.
Formally introduced in 1996 in Europe, the Amen Refillable perfume line was created as a follow-up to Mugler’s top-selling women’s scent called Angel. His Angel brand was considered to be the frontrunner in creating delicious, foody notes in perfumes.
Once Amen Refillable was introduced in the US and Canada in 1997, some critics questioned Mugler’s idea of fusing roasted coffee notes with peppermint, lavender and musk. Well, for die-hard Mugler fans, Amen Refillable truly smells like creamy vanilla ice cream, that’s topped with caramel, espresso and a luscious serving of melted chocolate.
