The Chinese company recently came up with the Huawei Ascend W1 phone which features a number of great qualities. Users can look forward to the fast processor, great design and expandable memory. You will also find several other great things about the product.

Product Specifications

The Huawei Ascend W1 phone features the 2G and 3G network connectivity. Using 2G is done through GSM 850/900/1800/1900 while the 3G network can be accessed via HSDPA 900/2100 and HSDPA 850/1700/1900/2100. A micro-sim is provided to access either network. The product was announced in January 2013 and is set to be released very soon. The product weighs 4.59 ounces and measures 4.9 x 2.51 x 0.41 inches. The display features the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors. It also has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels on the 4 inches of screen. There is also the multi-touch of up to 4 fingers. The alert types include WAV, MP3 and vibration ringtones. The loudspeaker is available including the 3.5 mm jack.

The Huawei Ascend W1 phone has an intenral memory of 4 GB and 512 MB RAM. You can also expand it up to 32 GB using a microSD memory stick. Data transmission can be done through GPRS and EDGE. Using HSDPA has a speed of 21 Mbps while HSUPA has 5.76 Mbps. You can also connect via the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The device has Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and NFC. You can also link using microUSB v2.0.

A 5-megapixel camera is present on the Huawei Ascend W1 providing you with images with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera includes LED flash and autofocus. Other inclusions are the face detection, geo-tagging and touch focus. Videos can also be recorded at 720p at 30 fps. There is a secondary VGA camera. The device runs on the Microsoft Windows Phone 8.

Huawei W1The Huawei Ascend W1 also features the Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon chipset, the dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait CPU and the Adreno 305 GPU. There is a proximity sensor and accelerometer. Messaging can also be sent via Push Email, SMS, Email and MMS. Browsing is through HTML5. The device has no radio but you can have A-GPS support and GLONASS.

The Huawei Ascend W1 comes in black, blue, white and magenta. Other things you can get include the document viewer, voice memo, voice dial, SNS integration, MP3 player, MP4 player, predictive text input, photo viewer and player for eAAC+, WAV, WMA, WMV and H.264. The product is also supported by a Li-Po 1950 mAh battery. Standby time can last up to 470 hours while talk time provides you over 10 hours.

The expected price of the Huawei Ascend D2 will be around $400. Many might find it a bit expensive considering that there are more powerful phones in the line that are available between $100 and $250.
