The immediate smell of Boss in Motion generally sells the perfume to consumers. Although a men’s perfume, women in particular loves it’s sweet citrus smell, an attribute of its bergamot content that blends with the spicy smell of violet leaves and basil flower.

The initial smell of Boss in Motion generally lasts for a few seconds to a minute. The citrus smell makes the perfume a sellout to most teenagers and some young adults but older men just detest this kind of smell.

The combination of bergamot, violet leaves, and basil flower makes the scent a little synthetic and quite ordinary considering its price. The bergamot scent dominates the rest of the perfume’s initial smell. The spicy aroma of violet leaves and basil flower is hardly perceived. Yes, it is creamy and citrusy but a lot of other cheaper perfumes have the same effect and some are even better.

Hugo Boss’ Boss in Motion, judging from its head scent, should have been for women and not for men. Although this can be an excellent way for men to attract the opposite sex, that is if a man can tolerate smelling like a woman.

Middle note

The top note of Boss in Motion sells the perfume to consumers but these changes after the initial smell fades. If the citrus smell of Boss in Motion boosts up a person’s confidence then wait till it gets to the heart of the scent.

After the few moments of refreshingly citrusy feel of Boss in Motion the scent shifts entirely into a different kind of a very strong synthetic spicy smell that can be very irritating to the nose. One can wish to forget the sense of olfaction upon perceiving this nauseating smell.

The heart of Boss in Motion is said to be a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and pink pepper. But none of these fragrances can be hinted of its middle note. The deliciously sweet smell of cinnamon is nowhere to be found. Instead the perfume comes too strong and confusing. Entirely opposite from its initial creamy and citrusy smell which can be disappointing for those who bought the perfume from its deceiving initial scent.

Base note

The base smell of Boss in Motion can be promising, if the scent will last until its dry down. Often times the perfume just fades away in the middle of its heart note which, to be fair, can also be due to the skin of the person wearing it. Some people’s skin are just not compatible with this perfume.

Boss in Motion commences with the scent of a few popular components of high-end perfumes; sandal wood, vetiver, and musk. Some users attest that they just love the woody and musky end smell of Boss in Motion perfume but others also say that there is just no hint of muskiness or woodiness from this fragrance.

As for personal opinion, Boss in Motion just ends up amazingly in a very ridiculous feminine smell with no single hint of muskiness, very disappointing indeed.

The Bottle

Boss in Motion, as said earlier, comes in a flacon designed bottle made up of pewter fashioned in a perfect sphere. Some may say that the bottle is indeed cool and very contemporary but to think it thru, the design just serves no purpose.

If one who has not heard of Boss in Motion sets out to look for a perfume, he/she will surely not bother checking this product for it can easily be dismissed for something else. It actually looks outlandish when placed with other ordinarily presented perfumes in upright bottles.

This type of bottle design though may well be forgiven if it does improve the quality of spray but the contrary is evident. The real bottle inside the pewter outer package is just way too deep inside making it awkward to spray. And upon squeezing, the content comes out way too slow, a very awkward experience. Not expected from a high-end perfume.

Usage

The duration of a single bottle depends upon the usage of the owner, but is affected by a few other factors as well such as the longevity of the scent to a person’s skin and by the preference of a person to the strength of the scent.

For the very athletic one’s the scent tends to fade much earlier than when used at nighttime or in other less active occasions. So, for the athletic ones the perfume can be much less economical than for those who are less active, most especially for those who uses the perfume only on special occasions, generally though a 40ml bottle does last more than a month.

Suits for any occasions

For some people the strong smell of Hugo Boss’ Boss in Motion does come in handy when used at the gym. This can be because it does smell good when combined with their sweat.

The sweet smell of Boss in Motion also makes it fit for nighttime use, when going out on a date, especially because the smell attracts more women. The scent also works well with suits and other formal attires.

But Boss in Motion is best used during winter time when the cool season can mask the strong fragrance of the perfume, making it less irritating and making it rather relaxing and refreshing.

The price

Compared to other high-end perfumes, Boss in Motion is fairly less expensive, with prices ranging from $35-$60. But still other cheaper perfumes can do better than Boss in Motion.

Perfect for…

As said earlier, this perfume does suit individuals with ages ranging from 16-25; anyone younger or older will smell funny or out of character with this perfume. Its citrus and creamy feel makes it proper for teenagers and its strong spicy supposedly musky smell makes it good for some adults.

Overall appeal

Generally, Hugo Boss’ Boss in Motion is a disappointment. The combination of strong spicy oil scents, sweet delicious fruit fragrance, and woody musky smell resulted into a catastrophe. It is both confusing and irritating to the nose. Its overall scent does far from serving its price.

Boss in Motion is one good example of the effects of commercialization. The product is too commercialized that it has lost its art. The manufacturer’s spent too much time on its packaging, which is also a disappointment, that they forgot to improve the heart of the product. Boss in Motion seems like a perfume specifically made to sell and just after getting sold it no longer does any good.

Baby Phat Fabulosity

Baby Phat Fabulosity is an extraordinary blend of soft, spice flower and fruit notes that creates a fabulous oriental fruity-floral fragrance. It surprises you with opening notes of a very watery sweet fruity plum raisin scent that is perfectly blended with the freshness of a deeply heavy green floral lily neutralized by the fresh floral sweetness of orange blossom.

The heart comes with fragrance notes of the Asian warmth of Chinese osmanthus mingled with the subtle smell of coconut milk, and the sweet floral violet that conjures up images of scented candles. Then it changes face to a seductive base with scents from the delicious Tasmanian honey, a high concentration of the very pleasurable aroma of vanilla, the spice of patchouli and the warm woodiness of amber stirred up to create a fragrance that heightens the senses.

Baby Phat Fabulosity is presented in a glamorous glass bottle that is shaped in an upside down round cut diamond. It has a bullet head plunger that is very cool and equally as glamorous as the bottle itself. This fragrance comes in an Eau de Perfume spray of 1.7oz and 3.4oz volume bottle with retail prices of $45 and $55 respectively.

This bottle is another reason for women to enjoy Baby Phat Fabulosity. The glam of this bottle fits complementarily beside other fabulous female collections around an elegant dresser. This bottle will definitely look good beside a similarly elegant jewelry box.

Use and Longevity

Baby Phat Fabulosity has staying power of about 3 hours to 5 hours; there is sometimes a need to reapply the perfume later on the day. This fragrance is recommended for anytime use. Women can smell good on this perfume during the day, at night, on summer outings or on whatever occasions.

Overall

Kimora Lee Simmons’ design house did a really good job on this perfume; the scents are very well blended. The manner of fragrance note presentation is very flawless almost perfect. The amazing top really captures interest, the strength of the individual notes complement each other. The sweetness is neutralized by other more subtle aromas. The combination of honey and coconut milk gives the fragrance an exotic appeal to it. Then there is the atypical combination of patchouli and vanilla in the base, giving Baby Phat the perfect formula for a very fabulous fragrance.

As featured in the magazine ad for the 2008 new collection from the design house of Kimora Lee Simmons, where the model entrepreneur was seated in a big diamond looking her perfect model stance, wearing several carats of diamonds on the wrist and fingers and on her peeptoe silver shoe, Baby Phat Fabulosity is as fabulous as a hundred diamonds twinkling simultaneously in brilliance.

Another best seller, Baby Phat Goddess, despite the envious feel of most women to the so called ghetto entrepreneur model Kimora Lee Simmons, has rocked the market since it was first introduced four years ago.

Baby Phat Goddess

Baby Phat Goddess caught my attention when I first tried it on, striking me with an opening full of fresh heady gardenia floral scent combined with a unique variation of the waxy floral aroma of white rosebuds and fresh lusty cedrat flower. It then transforms into heart notes of an extraordinary blend of blue lily, spicy hot black pepper, floral fresh hyacinth and seringa. The dry down is exemplified by notes of exotic woods and soft powdery musk.

This scent summons images of my childhood home’s yard full of blooming flowers at spring. This is the kind of scent I look for every time I grow tired of the all too tiring fragrances that makes me think too much. Baby Phat Goddess is relaxing and at the same time cheerful and pretty. The fragrance of this perfume radiates femininity and poise maybe due to its really sexy variety of floral scents.

The Bottle

As expected from Kimora Lee Simmons, Baby Phat Goddess comes in a truly charming bottle that will definitely look excellent on all women’s dressers. If you won’t like the scent of this perfume, well hey! The bottle does exemplarily look good as a decoration.

Baby Phat Goddess’ bottle shouts, BLING! It is shaped like a gem; it looks elegantly with the pink liquid it contains and it has a set of rhinestones circling around its neck like a ring. The cap is metallic pink in color with the brand’s logo carved into it.

Tips

Baby Phat Goddess does not have the same longevity as with other Baby Phat perfumes, it has a permanence of only up to 4 hours max so there is often times a need to reapply the perfume later during the day.

Being in a transparent container, Baby Phat Goddess should be kept in cool and dry area, this is too keep the constituents from loosing it’s balance which will be disastrous to the scent of the perfume.

I get the best effects from Baby Phat by applying the perfume at lower parts of the body allowing the scent to constantly rise during the day, therefore prolonging the fragrance. To achieve an even longer effect use this product with complementary bath gel and moisturizer, these comes in a set with the eau de toilette bottle.

Overall

Baby Phat Goddess is another addition to the awesome fragrances that depict the essence of womanhood. Fluttering females of its excellent blend of floral, spicy, and woody scents, Baby Phat Goddess is indeed the Goddess of female fragrances.

Olivier Cresp who created two of the best perfumes in the turn of the 21st century also designed a perfume for Antonio Banderas namely the Blue Seduction for Women, this perfume though unlike most of Oliver Cresp’s creations is a big dismay, it just doesn’t leave any scent after a brief minute. Most celebrity perfumes like those of Jennifer Lopez, Elisabeth Vidal, Celine Dion and many others are all unadulterated junk. I can only imagine the very cheap finance these celebrities commissioned their perfumers to create fragrances under their names, that the perfumers were forced to throw in the least costly materials.

The exemption

This is why it is so striking to have an exemption to the rule. Caroline Sabas hired by Elizabeth Arden’s ingenious team to build Midnight Fantasy for Britney Spears, took enough money from the team to afford the best juice and do serious labor, the result a perfect olfactory embodiment of Britney Spears and a chef d’oeuvre of the gourmand category.

Midnight Fantasy

Carline Sabas took advantage of ethyl maltol and accumulated an amount enough to create an olfactory skein of mango, strawberry and raspberry synthetics giving an explosive delight to the skin.

Midnight Fantasy opens up with the warmth of fruity scents from the richness of plum, black cherry and framboise. It has heart notes of Iris, floral freesia, and fresh blooming orchid. The dry down is characterized by the mossy woody fragrance of amber, musk and vanilla with a powdery twist.

The design

Midnight fantasy comes in a mysterious bulb shaped dark midnight blue bottle laid with delicate rhinestones that exemplifies the statement, “Magic Instigate at Midnight”. This flamboyant perfume is offered in a 1.7 oz and 3.4 oz eau de parfum spray with complementary body soufflé in 3.3 oz bottle and a 0.24 oz lip gloss.

Highly recommended

As intended by its creators Midnight Fantasy is perfect for evening wear. It is a seductive, mysterious and intoxicating elixir. It has a sweetness that is playful and apt for the realm of temptation and intrigue. It goes real well on lingerie.

Midnight Fantasy also smells fantastic during the very humid days of summer; the fruity scent in it gives the impression of cherries being macerated in carmelized sugar. The fruity aroma dominates the fragrance conjuring up images of black cherries dangling from a hundred trees at its ripest, making it perfect for summer night outs.

The only drawback to this fragrance is that it does not stay as long as the other Britney Spears perfume collections do but when used with the complementary body lotion the effect if marvelous.

This perfume smells good on the very young four years olds to women at their 40s. This is a must try perfume, a big complement after the rather disappointing forerunner celebrity perfumes.

Baby Phat Golden Goddess

Another extravagant Baby Phat perfume, Baby Phat Golden Goddess overflows with the pleasantness of fruity-floral scents. Golden Goddess opens up with the fizzy whiff of Champagne. It has a heart full of the freshness of floral scents from the combination of deep Blue Lilies, Serings, and the Night Orchid. Then it dries down to an old friend patchouli and vetiver blended with the delicious aroma of vanilla and caramel.

What I like most about this fragrance from Baby Phat is that is both mellow and sexy. It draws attention and makes a woman feel successful and important, very apt for its name Golden Goddess. The amazing not too irritating opening of a scent very similar to that of booze allures me a lot; this can be attributed to the constituent bubbling champagne giving the fragrance another original twist.

The Bottle

Kimora Lee Simmons never failed from astonishing females of her very good taste in bottle designs. Baby Phat Golden Goddess comes in a re-run bottle from the predecessor Baby Phat Goddess. It is a transparent glass bottle gorgeously shaped like a gem and looking very significant from the golden hue that emanates from its contents, making you think that the elixir contained inside is a golden liquid. The neck of the bottle is covered by a removable very pretty rhinestone ring. And it has a metallic gold cap with the brand’s logo etched across it.

The price

Baby Phat Golden Goddess, a fancy perfume, amounts to a maximum of $60. It also has a complementary body lotion and shower gel. The price of this fragrance is very much reasoned by of course the elegant bottle which you can always use as a decoration in your room but the fragrance’ endurance makes the price even more worthwhile. Baby Phat Golden Goddess stays as long as 6 hours to 10 hours on a good day, it’s very economical and it allows you to really enjoy the fragrance for the entire duration of the day.

Overall

I’ll give this fragrance from Baby Phat a big golden pass. This perfume makes me feel beautiful and important; I get a lot of compliments every time I wear this one on. And it also awakens my senses but its scent is far from irritating, it is very mellow and feminine, prefect for matured women.

You can use this fragrance in the office, during meetings or other special occasions wherein you will need something to boost up your confidence. Baby Phat Golden Goddess can also be worn at night outs, at a bar or club for example, this scent will surely stand out. And there is no need for you to reapply this on because the fragrance’ endurance is golden.

The scent

Eau de Star reminds me of Angel’s brilliance but this one has an aquatic twist to it, making it a lot lighter. The distinguishable notes are the watery sweetness of watermelon blended with an agreeable peppery accord. The amount of patchouli’s spice is just enough to tickle one’s senses. The dry down is warm with a very comfortable powdery feel to it. Eau de Star indeed has an amazing set of well-balanced contrasting notes.

This fragrance conjures up images of childhood memories which very much uplift my mood. The aquatic twist of this perfume captures rain in summer. It also has a bitter edge that makes it quite a sophisticated fragrance. It is stylish, it has a bit of pleasurable harshness to it, and it is cold with a very subtle sweetness beneath. Try this fragrance on, and if it will suit you well, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

The bottle

The designer Thierry Mugler, same as with a lot of other world renowned individuals from the designing world, believes in lucky charms. If Christian Dior it to lilies and Coco Chanel is to the number 5, Thierry Mugler, as obviously seen in his designs, consider stars as his lucky charm.

The successful Angel came out in a star shaped bottle with angular sides on varying shades; the succeeding collections of Thierry Mugler’s perfume came in the same Mugler star designed bottles. Eau de Star is not an exemption to this. Eau de Star is contained in a bottle with three sides of heavy glass affairs; the signature Mugler star is situated in front with a silver geometrical cap mounted on its top bearing the brand’s logo.

Eau de Star comes in a concentration of 25ml and 50 ml refillable bottles. It is available all over Europe and on the internet.

Endurance

The only problem with Eau de Star is its longevity, because it is lighter than the predecessor Angel, it does not last as long as Angel does. On a good day the maximum staying power of this perfume ranges from 3 to 6 hours.

Overall

If you have admired Angel, Rose Angel and Innocent then you will surely not regret this new design of Mugler. It is a resemblance of the original Mugler stars but there is another very intriguing twist to Eau de Star. Eau de Star has an amazing construction of opposing scents that can be quite scary when imagined but can very well amaze one when tried on. The bitter edge of this perfume and its watery twist strikes with the most uniqueness.

You will be able to enjoy the aroma of this fragrance without worrying on having to offend other people, because this fragrance it very light and non-irritating. It is perfect for daily use, especially at summer and in the office.

Angel comes from designer Thierry Mugler who has been referred to as “The prophet of Futurism”. Thierry Mugler believes that the past should have nothing to do with today’s fashion. This can maybe give you a hint of what Angel perfume is like.

The Scent

The queer thing about Thierry Mugler’s Angel is that it doesn’t have a grey area, which is to say- this perfume can either smell really pleasant to a woman or it can smell really disgusting. Users can have either a very good review for this product or they can say the worst things about it.

For those whose chemistry matches well with Angel the scent is extremely pleasing. Angel has fragrance notes of fruity scents from bergamot and berries blended with the sweet aroma of honey, caramel, vanilla and chocolate. This perfume can be very sexy in appeal and warm.

Angel is really sweet smelling but there is a bitter edge to it that neutralizes its sweetness. Upon first spray of the product the first noticeable aroma is the bitter aspect of the fragrance, it stays on for quite sometime, it makes the perfume’s aroma subtly dark and erotic. Then the smell will transform into the delicious scent of vanilla, honey and chocolate. This fragrance is quite bold and can be associated to the darker side of life.

Tips

As mentioned earlier, Angel does not have a grey area. Angel can either smell really good on you or it can make you smell like a disinfectant. Surely, this is not true for this perfume alone but to every existing perfume in the market.

Our body chemistry differs from each other, reason why we dont always get the same effect of scent from a fragrance like everyone else. This is why skin testing is of vital importance especially to high end perfumes like this one, wherein wasting money can make you really sorry.

Therefore, before deciding to purchase any perfumes, try it on first and notice how it reacts to your body. If it doesn’t smell good on you then try it on again for another week or month because our body chemistry changes with the change in our diet, lifestyle, and generally our state of health. Do not ever force a perfume to smell good on you, for the sake of every individual who will come near to you.

The bottle

Fitting to Thierry Mugler’s belief as a designer, Angel comes in a very unique star shaped glass bottle with one metallic end to which the spray is located. Figuratively, the bottle has “woman” written all over it, it is very feminine.

Overall

Angel although the most inconsistent perfume of all can really be fantastic when it is good, so if you are wanting to smell somewhat unique and sexy then I can very much suggest that you hunt this perfume down and try if it will smell good on you.

Armani Code for Women

The Women’s Code as portrayed in Armani Code perfume opens up with notes of fresh oranges, it has a heart of the aphrodisiac jasmine blended with the sweetness of orange blossom, and then it dries down to the delicious aroma of vanilla and honey.

Armani Code for Women is not just floral and sexy in scent; it is a complete set of aroma that opens up to door of seduction for the species of Eve. The sweet fragrance of orange is reminiscent of the Mediterranean freshness of Italy’s south edge. Armani Code also has some oriental elements as embodied in the fragrance of vanilla and honey.

The Bottle

The tall and cylindrical bottle for Armani Code Female is inspired by a dress designed and created by Giorgio Armani; the color is also inspired by Armani’s black sapphire motif.

Code for Women comes in a 75ml, 50ml, and 30ml eaux de perfume concentrations. It also comes with a supplementary 200ml body lotion and a 200ml shower gel.

The Price

Yes, Code for Women is a bit more expensive than other female perfumes with similar offers but this one is very highly recommended. It stays on very long in your body, it does not irritate, and the scent builds on with time. There was never a need for me to reapply this scent later on a day, because the fragrance just does not fade from my body. It is very much enjoyable making its price very reasonable.

Overall

As for overall assessment, Code for Women remains to be one of my top favorites. It is wearable unlike most perfumes we have nowadays. Among all the sugar-laden fragrances in the market this is the only one that I will definitely pick.

This perfume is appropriate for daily use, it boosts up a woman’s confidence and it builds up with good vibes. I like how Code for Women builds up its fragrance, it makes me really excited. Every time I wear this perfume on, I feel beautiful and sexy. I get a lot of compliments from friends and I myself enjoy sniffing my body. This fragrance is apt for matured females; a woman on a night gown will really be stunning on this perfume.

Giorgio Armani’s Code for Women is sexy and alluring, one of the scents I just can’t get over with. Some friends of mine actually attested that Code for Women does in fact have an aphrodisiac effect, well what better way to prove this than trying the fragrance on.

Believe for Women

Believe was introduced in the market last 2007. It has top notes of mouthwatering fruity scents from guava pulp and golden tangerine. The heart is a subtle blend of my not so favorite honeysuckle entangled with a trace of linden blossom. The dry down is a balance of class and youthfulness from the aroma of the very familiar patchouli swathed in pink pralines and the sensuality of amber.

The design

The clean and bright white box that contains the Believe bottle, lustrous and modernized is accented with vivacious metallic dots in pink, green and magenta. These metallic dots are meant to symbolize fun, inspiration, love and life.

The bottle inspired by Britney Spears’ many beliefs is fashioned in a simple triangular shape with multifacets colored by the interesting hue of peridot and with a striking silhouette.

Believe comes in a collection of eau de parfum 3.3 and 1.7 fl. Oz. spray, Body Souffle 6.8 fl. Oz, and a shimmer powder puff.

For anytime wear

This fragrance by Britney Spears is perfect for anytime use. It is not cloyingly sweet and not irritatingly fruity. There is no noticeable depth or warmth to this fragrance though; to me it’s just on the surface. So this could be great for the summer, spring, or even the winter season because it cannot be classified as being cool or warm.

The problem with this fragrance is that it has very weak staying power; I find it really sad that I have to reapply and reapply the fragrance to enjoy it for the entire duration of my day.

The Believe experience

When I first caught a glimpse of Believe’s adorable box, without knowing it was from Britney Spears, I immediately sprinted towards the fragrance, I took a sniff and was very delighted by the scent.

The first perceivable note was of course the citrusy smell of tangerine which was sadly a little short lived. The tandem of golden tangerine and guava pulp however adds to the variedness of this fragrance, it’s something new to the genre of fruity scents available in the market. Then I sensed a rather piquant aroma from the honeysuckle entwined with the sweet muguet linden blossom. Now, I’m not a fan of honeysuckle but with this fragrance I’m giving an exemption. And then I caught the scent of patchouli, which has never been one of my favorites, but I liked the way it blended with the entire scent. I didn’t notice the amber and pink praline anywhere from this fragrance though but overall it was a good experience. This Believe from Britney Spears is another perfume I can recommend to friends.
